Kelly Young

2010 Kelly was the runner up to the New Zealand Masterchef, from there she went and worked for one of the Judges of the show, Simon Gault in Euro at prince’s wharf, Auckland.  Kelly enjoyed working in a professional kitchen with some of New Zealand’s top chefs but due to the show she was offered many amazing opportunities within the food industry so she started up her own company “Kel’s Kitchen Ltd” where she does motivational talks and food demonstrations at schools, corporate companies and in stores, she writes for a couple of food industry magazines and has just started post-production for a food show on prime.   www.kelsktichen.co.nz has also been set up for people to get recipes, kitchen and garden tricks and tips that are useful for the DIY Kiwi’s.
Her long term goal is for her and her partner to manage a Bed & Breakfast/lodge in some part of NZ where she can continue to run “Kel’s Kitchen” out of…  Living the dream!

CHRIS FORTUNE

Since winning HELL’S KITCHEN in May 2003 Chris has received excellent promotion and recognition through local and national media and hospitality publications. Having been busy working and running restaurants for the last 15 years he is now enjoying helping raise his young 8 year old son and 4 year old daughter.  Never to be far from the hotspots though, Chris is also currently working for the Heartland Hotel Blenheim and the Marlborough Convention Centre  as the Executive Chef and presides as the Chairperson for the Marlborough Farmers Market and chairperson of the New Zealand Farmers Market Association. Chris is passionate about all NZ food producers and supports local fresh honest cuisine. This gives him a much broader and deeper appreciation of how produce gets to the kitchen. Having run many different kitchens and an active member of different organisations both in Marlborough and New Zealand Chris understands that no longer can a chef hide in his kitchen; they must represent their philosophy and understanding of hospitality.
